Hey guys! So i wanted to write about something not dealing with high-school as much but with college. I totally love it! College is the place to go to when you want to find yourself and find a degree. I love my school. Its a great campus and it has many, many people who are the sweetest ever!
I go to College of Lake County, which is in Grayslake Il. So if you want to check it out, go ahead you`ll like it. The school is very diverse. Clc has many opportunities of joining clubs, sports, and activities. They have a coffee shop inside the campus called Something`s Brewing. They're coffee is so good especially the red eye. If you're planning on studying medical field, you will need the red eye to keep those eyes awake. Trust me its saved my butt many times.
If you are currently a Clc student, you can work out for free at the school campus gym!! During fall semester they have every Friday free Zumba and Yoga classes. Which get you pumped for the rest of the day and the weekend.
Monthly, there are Universities and College representatives who come in to inform the student body of different options, how to transfer and what types of programs available. I love going to these things they keep my options open and you get free stuff. What college student doesn't like free stuff right?
This is my second year going here and I`m glad I decided to go here!If you liked everything I said about Clc, heres the link to check it out! http://www.clcillinois.edu/

Things to do before going to college..
Before I started my freshmen year in college, I made a list with things I wanted do before going. Making this list was my way of letting go of the things I wanted to forget from high school and to start learning how to be the real me. It gave me the chance to learn new things about myself and to experience things I was too chicken to do before.
My list :
1. Pack every high school related things (ie. Pictures, yearbook,etc..) in a box and hide it away.
I did this so I cherish the memories later on in life. Those things will mean a lot more later than they do now.

2. Go somewhere, you've never been to before.
For me, I decided to go to Olive Garden for the first time with my friends. Let's just say it's become our ritual..

3. Hangout with your friends as much as possible.
When you leave for college, you start to lose touch with many people. Especially the one's you always called your bffs, everyone goes down a different path in life.

4. Travel.
Before starting college I'd gone on a road trip with my family. It was a lot of fun. I saw the grand canyon, Las Vegas, and so much more. It's a great experience!

5. Do something that makes you feel good.
I volunteered all the time in high school so I wanted to go out with the last hooray. I volunteered as a camp counselor at my church. I got to teach kids about their religion and work with friends.

6. Do something that you think is disgusting to do.
I learned how to fish and even touched a live one. (It's so gross!)

7.Start and finish a project.
I really wanted to make those no-sew blankets and I made two. This summer I`m planning on making a blanket/quilt out of old cross country and track t-shirts.
8. Spend time with your family as much as possible.
I`m very close with my family and I spend a lot of time with them. So i wanted to spend time with each of them and do memorable things.
9. Learn how to cook something new!
I love cooking! So I wanted to learn something new, I learned how to make french onion soup and a creamy chicken mushroom casserole (It was my first time and possibly my last).
10. Have a movie marathon!!!!
I`m a huge 80`s buff and this was my chance to finally watch most of the classics(again!). I love John Hughes movies so of course The Breakfast Club, Pretty in Pink, and Sixteen Candles were the first ones to be watched. I even watched some I never thought I would like Risky Business and Christine. I totally recommend Christine!
11. Take a self- defense class.
I took kickboxing and its a great workout. I enjoyed it so much I took another kickboxing class during college. This can come in handy at some point and I feel more safer knowing I know how to get out of positions. It will help you.
12. Start a journal.
I started one because I wanted to remember my experiences and to be able to actually read about the things I will go through later on.
13. Have a TV marathon/ catch up on the seasons you`ve missed.
In college you wont have much time for them so show some love to your TV shows.

Good Bye High School...
Saying Goodbye...
During high-school you never really go into so much detail when it comes to graduation. The big thing at my old school was senior year and its perks. Being a senior gave you freedom and the feeling that you were on top of the world. It feels great! Its kinda like a high your on, that keeps getting better and better. Senior year you get to have late starts everyday or early releases, some people even had both. You got the best parking spots on campus, best super-fan sections at games, and getting the respect you`ve worked for from teachers all these years.
Looking back on high school, I don't regret one thing anymore. I`m not embarrassed by the silly things i did or had happened to me during those 4 years. I've grown up to realize that high school can be hell at certain points but its helped me become the person i want to be in my future. We all made stupid mistakes, trust me i have my full share of them but I am thankful of those mistakes because they`ve taught me lessons in life no teacher would be able to ever.
Saying goodbye to something is hard but saying goodbye to high school is sort of saying goodbye to a piece of your childhood. High school for me became a home. Its filled with some good, some bad, and some unforgettable memories. It`ll always be apart of me and I`ll always cherish those moments..
